Hello, I’m Michael Jacob “MJ,” the founder and owner of Jacob YPS Inc. My journey began in Brooklyn, NY, where I was born in January 1983 and raised amidst the vibrant culture of the borough. I am the son of an Irish father, who worked and retired from the NYPD, and a Haitian mother who immigrated to New York in her late teens. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at LIU, I moved to South Florida in 2006, seeking new opportunities and a fresh start.

Coming from a family with a strong law enforcement and military background, I was inspired from a young age to serve and protect. I dedicated nearly a decade of my life to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, where I served in various capacities — from Road Deputy to Detective, and even Detached to Specialized Units. These roles provided me with invaluable real-world experience, sharpening my critical thinking skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.

In 2015, I transitioned from public service to the private sector, bringing my expertise and leadership skills with me. Today, I am proud to own and operate Jacob YPS Inc., a company built on integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. I believe in leading from the front, staying actively involved in the field, and applying my extensive experience to deliver exceptional service.
